Okay so This was my brother,
's gift to me for my 21st birthday. It is a claddagh. The design was of course the artist's I trusted his taste. He picked the colors too. I thought it came out amazingly. I did request that the little space under the heart be left blank, I will one day have my brothers name put there ... one day hopefully not soon.
Anyway I love how it came out and I'm so excited about it. I have also been told the colors look amazing on my pale skin (ivory XD) It's so pretty. I adore it. I have to say it was the greatest birthday present I ever got.
The truth behind it: I wanted a claddagh tattoo but I know the rule. It has to be a gift. I asked my brother for it though for a reason. While my first tattoo had some meaning to me in that it felt like a link to my heritage, (((it's a Celtic knot))) I love the claddagh design and the meaning of love and friendship behind it. My brother is like my best friend and I love him to bits and pieces. I asked him to give it to me because I know in all likelihood barring any freak accidents, I will outlive him. And That thought scares me. The point is that With this I always have part of him with me no matter what. That means a lot to me.
This was taken by Corin Grendon, who is my tattoo artist (and an amazing one at that.) Sometime I will upload a pic of my first one that he did. He is awesome, and anyone who lives in PA and is looking for a good tattoo artist should note me.
I would also like to thank Corin for talking to me and helping me understand being a parent just a little better ^^ I'm going to put a watermark on it, but only for his protection on his design. I do not claim the design as mine, it belongs totally to Corin Grendon
